Great dryer for winter sporting gear that works well. We use it to dry or snowmobiling gear: boots, gloves, snowpants, coats, bibs, one-piece suits, socks. And hilariously as this listing says - yes, you can use it to dry your hair if you want - though that would be a bit cumbersome. In fact, two people could dry their hair at once. Pros: * Dries gear fast -- allows you to select the time that it is active - 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes. Our other boot dryer allows selecting up to 120 minutes, but this one has a higher airflow, so 60 minutes on this dryer can dry things as well or better than our other boot dryer for less -- the volume of airflow is definitely more than our other dryer which has no speed setting, and only a timer. * The corugated flexible hoses are great for getting the tip deep down into the toebox of your boots, or high up into your snow pants or coat sleeves. It also dawns on me that the corugated flexible hoses can be used to reach underneath the cowling in our Ski Doo snowmobiles to reach where the starting relays are - which sometimes freeze when it's -10f to -20f, and require heating to work -- a pain to deal with that we normally use a heat gun carefully aimed at the plastics near the gas cap (!) * Compact and portable -- this really is something you can just pack with you when you go on trips and it won't take excessive space. * The selectable heat level is nice. Cons: * Noise: This sucker is quite loud - even on low (on low it emits a higher pitched noise which I think Hedgehog GO could probably tune and make better). Honestly, the best volume to run it on, we've found, is the medium setting. It's still quite loud, but acceptable. I guess that makes sense though - since if you *really* need to dry your stuff fast, you probably can suffer with the loud noise. * Selectable heat IMHO isn't really necessary. At this price point, I would rather see a moisture sensor, and have it pick a temperature based on the moisture level. * Expensive for what it does - at this price point I would expect some smarts to keep drying when it senses the air is still moist, or stop when it's dry enough.
