Got my Buddy 4x4 Ionic wallmounted yesterday. First problem: bad production of plastic canal for arms. Meaning that it was impossible to mount one of the arms in one of the openings for arms. This was due to excessive melted/fitted plastic onto top threads. I fixed it, however not impressed. It all seems cheap and of bad quality. Still looks good, excited for first test when kiddo gets back from outdoor kindergarden.
Second issue:
First day today with drying of two pair shoes and a kid's outdoor dress. The dress on hanger besides the dryer, with hoses guided into dress. (E.g. no pressure or weight pull on the dryer). Put on two pair of shoes. It immediately fell off the wall mount. I reinstalled the dryer into wall mount, making sure properly fitted (again) on both sides. Same thing happened again. New test, with one sole shoe one dryer...whole thing crashed to the floor. The issue with thin plastic clamps and thin carvings in plastic canal for fitting is that it degrades very fast. This cannot be fixed. Only way is to make a home made wallmount. Should I bother when I just paid 1900?
The wall mount is a piece of shit. Who came of with the idea of a plastic clamp like this? Not an engineer that is for sure. Also air flow is worryingly low, not to say non existent, when 4 hoses and 4 arms are open. The dress was just as wet 90 min after I started the tornado mode. (Yeah, I ran it without shoes, and made sure the canals for arms where closed). What the...?1900 NOK for this?
Just to be clear, I am an engineer. I hate bad products and low quality. However, if things do break after many years - I fix them. Whether it be cars, electronics, household appliances etc. If they break first time; then the product should not be sold at all.
Hugely disappointed, product will be returned unless the producer calls this a production fault.
